By the end of December 2023, there were 107 commercial breweries operating in London, including 25 brewpubs. 10 were parts of multinationals (M). Those breweries were:

  2. Beavertown Brewery (Tottenham Hotspur, Heineken M) N17, Haringey, brewpub, suspended spring 2023 and equipment subsequently removed, production continues at other sites
  3. Block Brewery (Wenlock Arms) N1, Hackney, brewpub, ceased brewing February 2023, pub remains open.
  4. Boxcar Brewery E2, Tower Hamlets, suspended February 2023, cuckoo brewing shortly afterwards but ceased by June 2024.
  5. Brick Brewery SE8, Lewisham, bought by BREAL Group June 2023 and closed in November with brands relocated to other breweries in the group outside London.
  6. Deviant and Dandy E9, Hackney, closed November 2023
  7. Dogs Grandad Brewery SW9, Lambeth, closed November 2023, continued as cuckoo but company subsequently dissolved.
  8. Mad Yank Brewery (The) HA5, Hillingdon, closed by March 2023
  9. Oddly Beer N11, Friern Barnet, inactive since at least early 2023 and subsequently confirmed closed.
  10. Old Street Brewery E9, Tower Hamlets, ceased brewing December 2023
  11. OMEBEER (formerly One Mile End Brewery) N17, Haringey, closed January 2023
  12. Partizan Brewing SE16, Southwark, moved outside London March 2023
  13. Three Hills Brewing The Outpost SE16, Southwark, all brewing shifted outside London Spring 2023

Suspended breweries

  • Babel Beerhouse (formerly Little Creatures Regents Canal) N1, Camden, brewpub, suspended again by December 2023 and later sold to new owners
  • Fearless Nomad Brewing (Black Dog) TW8, Hounslow, brewpub, suspended by June 2023
  • Husk Brewing E16, Newham, suspended February 2023
  • Macintosh Ales N16, Hackney, cuckoo brewing exclusively since July 2023
  • SALT London (Ossett, formerly Hop Stuff) SE28, Greenwich, closed May 2023, brewing continues outside London and may revive on a brewpub scale at one of the SALT bars in London.
  • Spartan Brewery SE16, Southwark, closed June 2023 though have subsequently cuckoo brewed, site and kit sold to Battersea to become Battersea Substation
  • Urban Alchemy Brewing Co EN5, Barnet, no visitors, suspended March 2023

Other changes:

  • BBNo (Brew by Numbers) bought in August 2023 by BREAL Group.
  • Br3wery relocates production to a nearby standalone unit, retaining the previous brewpub as a taproom.
  • Ealing Brewing: brewery closed and production transferred back to Marko Paulo June 2023.
  • Gravity Well Brewing Co relocated to an expanded site in Tottenham, original site then revived by Libertalia.
  • London Fields Brewery revived under new ownership as Saint Monday.
