Haggerston Brewery

Haggerston Brewery, London E8

Brewery
312 Frederick Terrace E8 4EW (Hackney)
haggerstonbrewery.co.uk
First sold beer: February 2025

Former City worker Dennis McDonagh used the lockdowns to build up his homebrewing skills, prompting him to go commercial on a small scale at this nanobrewery in an arch under Haggerston Overground station, a short step from the Regents Canal. He began with 100 l batches but is about to upgrade to a still modest 3 hl kit, helping meet the demand that’s built up since word got out and organisers of local events started knocking on his door.

The brewery also has a small canning line. Currently there’s no public facility at the arch though Dennis has applied for a license allowing takeaway sales and will also deliver locally by arrangement.

Beers, branded with bird species, are in keg and can, with the possibility of occasional cask in future.

Updated 1 September 2025.
